How does Japan see President Trump in the relationship between the United States and North Korea?(A-3)

This is an article I wrote in July 2018.
It was when President Trump had a summit with North Korea.
Finally, I am adding the evaluation of the current President Trump.

What the 2018 North Korea–United States Summit means for Japan
1. Issues Japan has with North Korea
2. What I expect from President Trump

1. Issues Japan has with North Korea

The biggest issue that Japan has with North Korea is not their nuclear weapons program, but past abductions of Japanese citizens.
Many Japanese have been abducted by North Korea and are still unable to return to Japan.
After the World WarⅡ, Japan has become an unarmed nation by law.
Since the country is forbidden from any military actions, we have been unable to take the abductees back home.
It sounds pathetic, but I hope that the U.S and the global society would put some pressure on North Korea.

2. What I expect from President Trump

I am very pleased that he raised the abduction issue.
I don’t believe that North Korea will actually become “nuclear free”, but it was a big achievement to have reached to the agreement between the two countries.
President Trump is a brave and great president.
It is also wonderful for Japan and the U.S. as well as the rest of the world that Japanese Prime Minister Abe and President Trump are in an intimate relationship, because the real threat to the world is China.

After this, I wrote on June 11, 2020.
・My view on President Trump

Unfortunately, he was unable to make North Korea become nuclear free.
The poverty-stricken nation will never abandon nuclear weapons, because these weapons can cancel out the differences

in military strength between nations.
However, my view on President Trump hasn’t changed since then.
I am still in favor of him but social elites in the Japanese media criticize President Trump very often, and I think one of the main reasons is that he is in a good relationship with Prime Minister Abe (many Japanese TV broadcasters are anti-governmental radical left-wing).
They also seem to be hiding that they are actually supporting President Trump, because he has always been portrayed negatively as a racist and shallow-minded person since the presidential election battle against Hillary Clinton.

However, it appears that many Japanese support President Trump as he is establishing a trust-based relationship with Abe.
There are many positive posts praising him on Twitter and other social media.

Retaining a strong military alliance between Japan and the U.S. will contain China and create peace. I hope that the two countries continue to stay in a positive relationship.
